Life Saving Sports Workshop 2009

What would you do if you see a person in distress? It might be a cramp, asthma attack, or even a cardiac arrest happening in the water. Be it in the sea or at a swimming pool. Any situation where a person is unable to help oneself is a fatal situation. He or she may have to rely on someone’s skill for survival, and that skill is none other than lifesaving techniques.

With the aim of creating awareness in water safety and promoting lifesaving as a sport, the Life Saving Swimming Club of INTI University College is organizing a “Life Saving Sports Workshop 2009”.

The one day workshop is open to high school, college and university students as well as the general public. Participants will have access to professional lifesaving equipment such as manikins, rescue tubes and fins to learn the lifesaving techniques like manikin carry, obstacle swim, swim with fins and line throw. Also, participants will be given with a goodie bag, lunch and a certificate upon completion of the workshop.

Sign up now! This is a chance to enhance your skills and learn more about lifesaving as it might be useful in the days to come!
